检索自己的电脑旧硬盘的时候，发现了这篇旧文，写于7年前。那也是自己第一次到美国前后的时节。

这些旧文字总是那么强烈地激发我的某种情绪，那是完全不同的另一个自己吗？这一路走来的种种变化和变迁，我真的很清楚吗？

有时候是不敢认真去审视和触碰的。也许还是会有一天的。

WAHT I WANT TO LEARN IN US

Confucius, a sage who is highly esteemed by all Chinese, once said, if there were three people were walking together with me, at least one of them is good enough to be my teacher. That is why I study in U.S.. Although America's history is short comparing to that of China's five thousand year civilization, there are still a lot of things that I can learn from Americans. I am looking forward to a new century with more democracy,more freedom and more fortune.

From the viewpoint of society and economy development I want to know what advance the people to build such a prosperous,freedom and high-efficient society, while then it was yet uncultivated several hundred years ago.what is the basic ideology and principal to run this society? How were the free and marketable economic activity and its operation system being built?How to maintain the whole pursued so? How government will perform there?I believe we can take a great advantage of it and must be deeply inspired in our economic reform that is yet under experiment and exploration.

As a staff of state organs I am also concerned about things should learn in government management.I wish to know how does the US government management system work particularly in revenue.In this field there is big difference between China and USA not only in the system of tax revenue but also in tax management.But it is still worth to learn because of its clear obligation,high-efficiency and modernization management.By through this study I wish to get the idea of settlement and authority distribution of tax organs at all levels,how do they work and contact,how do they manage the tax revenue efficiently by all means of possible technology;on the other hand I want to know how do they associate with the society,state organs;and various of people,to keep all state works unified and harmonized.On the contrary how do people supervise and evaluate tax collector's efficiency and honesty.

By the end,on the basic of the economic prosperity and advanced technology that I will see in USA,I will also be surprised at the various thoughts coming from this land and converge there,also appreciate the democratic method and political system where people can express there thoughts freely.I believe neither a group of people nor someone himself gets all the answers to complex problems facing the world today.Problem is to be solved by means of free expression of all thoughts and ideas,crash and exchange on public discussion,I expect to get the answer and new inspiration by through of such crash and exchange.
